Clown Compass proudly made an international mark with the clown film Sisi and Sisliya, which explores the generational knowledge gap between a granddaughter and her granny. Curated by Austrian artist Julia Fuchsig, the film was created for the Sinking Pearl Exhibition and highlights the power of storytelling while addressing LGBTQ+ themes and women’s rights in Sri Lanka.
This thought-provoking work bridges generations and sheds light on critical social issues through the lens of performance art, proving that humor and theatre can spark meaningful conversations across cultures.
